Brett's Backyard BBQ
I hit Brett's Backyard BBQ this weekend in Rockdale, TX not too far from Snow's in Lexington.
Brisket was good. A little dry and flavorless for being slices of Falean (Fatty w/lean joke) though. I'll just chalk it up to me being the guy that got the odd slice. Could partially be that it was pretty cold outside and really windy and the food was cold within seconds of sitting down? Ribs were some brand of Duroc. Really good, loved them. Perfectly cooked and seasoned with a very slight hint of sweetness. Sausage was beef sausage, not bad and course grind like I like it. I don't like those sausage with hot dog texture. And the loaded baked potato salad. Was not a fan. Had way too much mayo. I'd go back and try a different sausage and side and also see if I can get a better slice of brisket. |
