Default My new "Bear Pit" by Gator Pits of Texas! (Pron)

Greetings fellow Farkers and Farkets! I'd like to introduce you to my new custom pit by Gator Pits here in Houston, TX. I had to wait about 8 weeks but it was well worth it. This bad boy is a 1/4 inch steel pipe 20x40 offset with a 20x18 firebox. I had Rich (the owner of Gator) weld a pot warmer on top of the firebox and he also put in upper and lower slides in the main chamber (so I can add on sliding trays later) and a slide in the firebox for grilling steaks. The only other mod was the addition of two hooks for hanging utensils. Without further ado...here she is!

I welcomed Sat. morning by throwing on these two...Brisket rubbed down Louie Mueller style and a Pork Butt rubbed 3 Little Pigs Style!

Thanks for looking folks and happy smoke!

Hand crafted and American made - you can't beat that with a stick.

That's just an awesome pit. Congrats, I've a little jealous this fine Saturday morning.

What kind of siding you got on your house? Are you using that firebox as close to the house as it looks in the picture?
