Default The "Grill Garden" Grows...

My next door neighbor drops by yesterday afternoon with a Red 22 1/2" Weber Kettle she picked up at a yard sale for $20. I had told her if she ever sees any Weber kettle lids to go ahead and pick it up for me so I can use it for a UDS. She said they wouldn't sell her just the lid so she got the whole grill and gave it to me for a get well gift. Now the question is where in my "grill garden" should I plant it? I love my neighbors. Right after she left, the one across the street brought over a pan of lasagna! Yes, I do feed them Q on a regular basis.

Great neighbors and nice score. You probably need to plant that kettle in my back yard. Doesn't look like you have enough room. Get well soon !

Don't know about that, but you could probably cause a heat wave in your neighborhood.

I likey. Great neighbors. I think you can find a little room somewhere. It looks to be in great condition too. By the look of the handles, it's an oldie kettle too.

It makes for a nice splash of color in an otherwise dark-colored lineup of grills. Should fit in nicely...

Gosh, that kettle sure is in nice condition! Maybe you should use the other kettle as the donor and keep the nice red one intact?

With proper scaffolding, you could utilize the "bunk grill" technique.

BTW: I noticed you have two identical Brinkmann charcoal grills at the back. I just picked one up for some friends for $30. The only difference is that it has a lever to adjust instead of a crank. Last weekend I used it to cook two eye of round roasts via indirect grilling using lump then migrating to sticks. Fuel in the middle. I hot seared them directly over the fuel before letting them cook indirect for 2 hours. Temps were up to 550 F. Came out great.
