Just burgers and fries
Hey brethren,
Came home yesterday and wanted to do something quick. Had some grass fed ground beef from Trader Joes and gave it a shot. Hadn't fired up the performer in the longest time so gave it a go. Sorry for the bigarse pics. Prepped the patties, toppings, etc while the fire was going Fire is nice and hot (half stubbs briqs half Royal Oak) Got the fries going. Did half batch of fires with corn starch and half batch without Batch without corn starch (seasoned with season salt) Batch with corn starch (came out real yummy) Had some homemade bacon trimmings leftover so I deep fried that too as a topping I figured I'll deep fry the onions as well. Some havarti on top Dressing it up A chipotle pepper as the finishing touch Ohhh yeah!! pics def don't do justice to this one Enjoying the nice and warm weather and some music to a point where I fell asleep outside Thanks for looking guys!

That is one sweet set up you got out there. Those burgers look just juicy as they should be. I love Havarti cheese but have never had it on a burger. I need to change that. You mentioned cornstarch on the fries? Never done that either. What does the CS do for the fries?
I'd hit that! Bob

I love havarti as well and its amazing on a burger. I tend to use it a lot on burgers since it melts really well and always seem to have a block of it on hand. CS crisps up fries and sort of gives it a crispy/crunchy texture. The color also comes out light golden brown. It tends to come out more like fast food fries but way better obviously.

What he said^^^^^. 5:00 in the morning and I'm looking forward to lunch. My kids love homemade fries but I don't do it that often, not a big frier.

Wow! You've got a set up that would make any guy jealous! Unreal. Question though, where did you get that cast iron grate thing for the burgers? Good-lookin' food and thanks in advance.

Those burgers look awesome and good use of the Dutch oven! I bought too many spuds and am wondering what to do with them. Hmmm... And what could be better than deep fried bacon trimmings!
A couple days ago you could have lost your toes by heading outside shod like that, but we are experiencing a heat wave and our temps actually went above freezing yesterday for the first time in two weeks!
