It seems most folks in the Detroit area boil their ribs instead of smoking them. Are there any real pitmasters in Detroit where someone can get some real smoked meat?

I've never been to Lockharts, but I have met Bubba and he certainly knows his meat. Wait, does that sound bad? He really knows Q. I'm not sure how far away you are from there, but I am willing to betcha that it's worth the drive.

I've been there. The brisket enchilada was good but I wasn't impressed with the pulled pork or ribs.
Bubba, Bubba, he's the man, if he can't smoke it...well, it really shouldn't be smoked, maybe grilled, fried, sauteed, or baked, but not smoked.
