Grilled up some soy salmon on the WGA and flaked it.
Filled claypot with chicken stock and herbs like garlic chives, chives and parsley, added some garlic and fresh ginger, splash of soy and ketcap manis.
Poured in the rice and simmered.
Finally, when the rice was soft I added the salmon and two free range eggs.
Put the lid on till the whites had just set.
Plated with pickles of eggplant, daikon(white giant radish) and snipped some nori on it.
A splash of black chili vinegar and white pepper.
Just right for a winter brunch!

Thanks guys!
:yo:

That looks terrific, sadly, I would never eat it, as it has salmon, but, it sure looks good

I am actually highly allergic to mussels. Salmon just does not taste good to me, and the texture really makes my throat close, same for trout.

Pretty sure Bob has made a hotspot or two in his time.
Bet he never used shiminjis tho!

shimeji dude, shimeji my Asian cooking smarty pants
:becky: in joke!

As Bill pointed out in another thread, I misspoke in the title, it is a hotspot and not a congee.

Winter? Time to break out the parka, eh? It's 63 degrees F ya poncy poof! Nice cook though. Did TFO survive?

You are not winning any friends, my vogueing hip slinky!
She is sitting next to me, eating some tofu miso soup I made, and feeling mad at you and sorry for herself.
Keep this up and pinky may be an orphan all over again!,:mmph:

Tell TFO I hope she feels better soon.

On edit, I do apologize for calling you a fancy pants.

I KNOW... you're a very MANLY

Poof.

Yeah, my woman is sick and playing it.
I am not feeling good about this.
I'm bailing till my perspective returns.

I love it. I really like the whole egg concept in foods cooked like this. It wasn't until recently that I realized eggs weren't just for breakfast :eusa_clap
