KCBS One day Judging & Table Captain's class. Waterloo, Iowa, March 15,2014

Good news!
On March 15th, 2014, you can begin the ultimate BBQ fanatic's journey towards joining the ranks of fellow Certified BBQ Judges and Table Captains! Waterloo, Iowa is the place and we hope to see you there!

KCBS Instructor, Dave Londeen will guide you through the proper means of judging competition quality BBQ. KCBS conducts official competitions at each event in the following categories: chicken, ribs, pork and brisket. A KCBS judge evaluates BBQ using three specific criteria: appearance, taste and texture. KCBS sanctioned events always prefer to have 100% Certified BBQ Judges and Table Captains to ensure judging standards are upheld.

During this class you will have the rare opportunity to judge world class competition BBQ prepared by the following:

Sams Club National Champion, Justin Glaun from Luckys Q
Iowa Chicken Champion, Big Chain BBQ Gang
Mark Scheel from Marks Smokin’ Que
Judging class will begin at 10:00 am and end at approximately 2:00pm

Table Captain class will begin at 3:00 pm and end at approximately 5:00pm

Things are starting to take shape for a great CBJ class in Waterloo! We feel that this class will offer new judges something that a majority of classes can't offer; a chance to judge a KCBS contest THIS BBQ season!
We have worked with several contest organizers to arrange for them to hold seats for those new CBJs that complete the class in Waterloo on March 16!
We have seats being held at the following contests:
Lynch Livestock Pig Stampede in Waucoma
Up In Smoke Bash in Mason City
BBQ'Loo & Blues Too in Waterloo
Mr. BBQ Challenge in Davenport
Bend of the River Cookout in Mankato

We are hoping to secure more seats as more contests ramp up.
