So, a customer called (also a friend) and asked if I had time to do a cook of Pork Butts for PP for 150. Duh, yeah was my reply... Anyway, we went to Rest Depot where he paid for the meat, foil, AJ and charcoal. These went in the cooker at 2300 rubbed with Simply Marvelous Spicy Apple Rub and some apple wood. They were finished, foiled at 195 more or less and put in the cooler at 0730. My friend picked them up and he will pull ther meat and serve his guests. Easy squeezy! Don't get much better than that! (Oh yeah, and I got paid, too!) These pics are too big too upload in one window, so I will need to add two more pics below. Thx for looking......

Nice Job. How much weight did u have there? If I'm counting right there are 11 butts. How did you calculate how much you needed? I read somewhere on here to take # of people / 2.4 Did they have any meat left? Just trying to get a feel for when I end up doing a bunch.

You are right, 11 butts. One was for me. Calculations based on 1/4 pound per person. 150 people divided by 4 is 37.5 pounds finished product, which when you consider losing about 50% in rendered fat, that means 75 pounds of raw meat. I added an extra butt for safety or leftovers... I don't know if there were any leftovers as the event is at noon AZ time today...
