Aloha kakou to all from Hawaii. Just made it back from our ohana imu. We did about 12 tray pans full of turkeys and hams. These will go overnight. Update to follow...

Very nice! We have several Hawaiian Brethren. Very nice to see your posts and hope to see more. That looks like a great feast!

Nice, takes me back to the good old days living in New Zealand having hangi (Maori) or Umu (Samoa/Tonga/Fiji) depending on which friend/family was putting it down.

the conversation with the big boss upstairs must have gone something like this: ok moke go dig hole, throw some pig and salt. and thats it bruh. it'll taste good trust me.

oh and for the heck of it i'll throw in ridiculously good lookin' wahines and heineken beer. and one can spam.

aloha :)

I'll start digging in my backyard today. Neighbors have some lava rock and I got da wood.

I stay Kaneohe. The recipe was two handful salt. The rest involved a lot of mullin' over the fire and turnin' the rocks. Aided by alcoholic beverages. :pile:
