**Westernsmokers vertical reverse flow insulated smoker build**
Well I finally got to start on the first build for my Westernsmokers adventure. Me and the boy had to finish up a table this morning first, so I quickly put him to work. Everything has gone great so far, we did have a little curve with one weld with the new machine and we had also changed wire size. but soon after we were humming right a long again. I am very impressed with the plasma cutter I bought. Cuts through this stuff like butter. Here are the pics from this mornings go at it. We will be back out there this evening to do some more. Thanks for lookin and keep a eye out for more builds and products.
just getting started this morning. So the slave labor started early..lol the beginning first piece of the project is done...made short work of it with the plasma some of the welds this is the one we had a little curve on so far so good...you can see the hole is very low for the smoke stack.

Nice weld, looks like a roll of quarters. Keep us updated on the build. I always enjoy watching a home built job come alive. The closest I get to welding is using JB!

I don't know what it is but this site is so slow for me it's hard to post...any ways thanks everyone for all the great compliments...as for the welding degree it is actually a associates degree in welding. You learn all the aspects of welding and metallurgy. How to X-ray test and do destructive testing and obviously weld as well. Their web site is a little out dated but this will show ya anything else you want to know...This college is well known for turning out some very skilled welders. They don't just get ya through for the money.

Thanks for the reply and the link. In Canada we don't do the college degree thing so thats why I was asking. I spent 29 years welding pipeline, gas plants, refineries etc.
I'm also a CWB certified welding inspector so I'm very familiar with destructive/non-destructive inspection. Good luck with the build. |

Looks good, nice step on the 1st weld. Reminds me of my aluminum welding days.
