Pear Wood, come and get it!
If any of you are in the Jacksonville, Oregon area, just outside of Medford, there's a Pear Orchard they're cutting down. It will be a while before you can use it, and you'll have to cut the logs yourself, but they're selling it at $40 a cord. I think I loaded my FJ twice and got about half a cord for $20. Pain in the butt to cut small but a sharp chainsaw makes it not so bad.

What a great idea, I wish I lived closer. I love pears, what a great flavour to add in smoke.
