I have been using a cheap injector i got at the grocery store. Have only used it ten times or so and it is about to fall apart. Is there anything better out there. I have found one that looks good, the cajun injector, but it runs around $30. Is this about what i should expect to pay for an injector that will last more than a 2-3 months?

I have one from Cabelas but not sure what I paid for it....search all outdoor catalogs on line as well as Bed Bath and Beyond and other stores, Im sure you can find what you need

Chad and Tim use a nice one a little more but you can make a brisket look like a basket ball. not sure of the name though.

I have one of the Cabelas that has holes up the needle, really don't like it. Almost always squirt me, the cabinets and counter. T

Two ways to go, small or large, your personal preference will make the call.

Large:
Forget the pistol injector (no offense meant, I own one... but wish I'd chosen more wisely)... spend the few extra buck on one of these. Same needle, and its easier to use.

Or small:

Can use this one one handed, hook your thumb around the top. YOu can get these a lot cheaper... like $3.99 at other places, but that's the model you want. I have only broken on of these... and you just toss it, and open a new one at that price.

I agree with Tranformer.

I burned through several brands and models of injectors before settling on the Cajun injector. Save yourself any grief and skip the cheap knock-offs. With a little practice, you'll become very effecient at one handed injecting. It's durable and will last.

I give 14 bucks for a stainless with 2 needles at sportman warehouse. it work great. Lowes' also have the stainless one for 20

Here is a little sprayer I picked up at lowes a couple year back along with the injector.
I borrowed a tap and die set from my brother in law and and put treads on the inside of the nozzle to match the injector needle.

this shows the insert and spray nozzle removed, along with the injector.

And here is the needle from the injector screwed into the sprayer head. There is a small tab behind the pump handle above the sprayer handle. I had to file down the catch so the tab would not hold because I keep pushing is in and then when I pulled the needle out of the meat is would spray all over the place.

You do have to try and keep partials out of your liquid by straining it but now that I know this it has not been a problem.

I love watching a pork butt balloon up. This is not my original idea and I am not sure who's it was or I would give them credit. My cost if memory serves me, was under 30.00 for everything but remember I now have two individual injectors I can use for the same money.

I keep the nozzle insert and cap because if you want to use it to spray the meat when it is cooking it is also good for that.

Sorry about the fuzzy photos, I was in a rush.
