Anyone else coming?

I am gonna pit bitch/run boxes/do dishes for Kevin (HomeBBQ).

I have been in extensive training for the demands of watching the numbers on a pair of FEC 100s. Think I am ready, only time will tell
It gets really demanding when I have to shine them and all that cabinet work after turn-ins. But, I will do my best.

With all the emotion of the AR behind, this should be a great contest as we head into the fall season in the Southern BBQ world.
Hope to see any Brothers that can stop by!

Good luck and have fun Tim.
Are you doing sausage gravy again? That stuff was goooood!

Walt,
I will be at the Super 8 (Exit 92) somewhere about supper time tomorrow.
You should have my cell--supper ???

Kevin is dragging in (literally) on Fri morning.

One extra helping of Fattie B&G on my list

This was a fantastic first year event! Seemed like they had been doing it for years. Can not even think of anything to "fine tune"
33 teams. They paid through 10th per catagory and 5th overall. Glad to see that "deeper in the field" payout for overall catching on.

Cold--lows around 40 at night

3 Brethren teams and several of Kevin's students from his recent cooking class. His students did really well and made the instructor look good.

I had a great time cooking with Kevin, as always. Great cook and great guy. It was just not his (our) weekend.

Results below.
Another "clinic" by Myron Mixon of Jack's Old South

You folks had a great day!!!

Look up in the top of this Comp section and you will see a listing of brethren teams. Give us your team info there and we might not miss ya in the future.

Any comments or "tales" on Covington?

Good Job!

Congrats folks, and Tim, I'm glad you mastered those complicated smokers! :)

Great job everybody. Was good seeing some friendly faces and Big Jim and the crew did an excellent job on this event. Flawless as far as I am concerned.

covington was our best showing yet, but this is our first year so look out! all told we have 8 top 10 finishes (categorically, not overall). we have been to dillard, cartersville, greenwood SC, Cookeville TN, maggie valley and 2 of our guys cooked with "off da bone" in new holland.

i have found through thorough study that we perform better the more homebrew i bring! stop by and see us in Demopolis or possibly key largo
