We might need a NOSKOS rule for this Throwdown then! So how do all the lazy farkers down there get their biscuits and such?

And just when I thought the ingredient list for the blogger's 4-ingredient challenges were bizarre.

Oh wait, that's right, they are bizarre. But "dough from a tube"? Lets hope Big Butz BBQ can't get limes this time of year in Wisconsin... :tsk:

Really, I tried to pick ingredients that I thought everyone could find, no dough in a tube? Dough in a can/box/bag has to be available somewhere. Of course, I would have said biscuit in a can, but, knew that many would be confused by biscuits and cookies.

This is a riff on BBQ Grail's idea of a four ingredient challenge blog posts and I think it pushes the thought process for cooking over Livefire a little farther.

Bill, are you saying they don't eat sausage gravy over canned biscuits in Australia? That is just hard to understand...

I was gonna list platypus, but, I figured that was to esoteric.

Dough from a tube? Really? Will "ribs from a can" be next?

I don't think it's possible to find dough from a tube here either, at least I don't think its allowed in the house. I might have to order one of those tubes from the BBQ Brethren site. Hey, BBQQB, can you send me their website link for the canned/tubed produce?

What I want to know is if we can use other ingredients as well, or just those three + one. I'm guessing seasoning is given, but can we add other things as well?

You can use whatever ingredients you feel you need to make a great entry. This could include food, or not. Perhaps you need some other items, it is not for me to judge.

Okay, since there seems to be some issue with 'dough in a tube' (and for the record, I think you are all just being food snobs) we can look at alternates. I do not want to allow making of dough how...

Wait...did I miss something? Is Southern Smoker now One-Eyed Jack or do we actually have two members from Newfoundland?

What if we allow 'dough from a box' if you are in a foreign land and cannot get dough in a tube. I mean, what civilized country does not have 'dough in a tube'. Anyway, yes, you can use other ingredients, but, must use at least the 3 specific ingredients and at least one of the optional ingredients.

Man this is EZ, already got a plan!

NOT! I'm in though:-D

Now I'm even more confused. Dough in a box? I've never heard of that. Chris do you have a picture of what Bob's talking about? I think he might be high on platypuses or something. Is that like a safety deposit box?

Well, I thought I'd be clever and google-imaged "dough in a box"

It appears Bob wants us to cook with furniture or play-dough. There's also some cookie dough, but I can't see that going with chicken ... maybe eggplant, but definitely not chicken

I think we have a step stool I could use, but I'm not giving up the china cabinet. That would never fit on the Oval.

I am stunned at what can be found on the internet

Okay, I am not real sure about that last one, but when I searched, it came up as dough boxed. Feel free to use it in place of dough in a tube if you like.

I was just thinking about making a chicken-eggplant sandwich, making buns out of that cookie dough. Heck, I thought I could even enter that for pub-food. When you're plastered in a pub, you don't care too much what you're eating. I see there are other possibilities now. :thumb:
