Remember way back... my mom used to make little fruit balls (watch it!) for salads with a tiny bowl scoop. Don't remember the name... but I found a new use for it.

Cleaning out Jap pepper boats!
Either end depending on the size of the pepper. Slide the cup just under the stem top and slide down .

It's a melon baller (keep it clean guys).

That looks like it's balled a lot of melon too! Way to reinvent a classic kitchen tool.

Cleans them out real good. Had some looking like that last night and got a yipe from one of my boys when he decided to see if the stem is edible. Fired him right up! I usually just clean them out with a paring knife but that leaves you with "latent" heat on your hands.

Don't forget the latex gloves to prevent the spread of fire!!!
Remember, No Glove, No Love!:shock::shock: Especially if you rub your eyes!

(2) pairs doubled up,a full faceshield, and apron. (Insert evil laugh here).:twisted::twisted:

A thin flexible blade grapefruit knife works real good especially when you aren't cutting them in half.

Once saw a spinner type tool for cleaning out whole peppers, hoping somebody has that same thing??

hmmmm.....I use one of those 'chile twisters'....they work great. I don't have to split the japs that way. I've got 2 different sizes of them.

I just cut the stem off, stick in the chile twister and twist it a few times, and move on to the next one.....then rinse them out. Then I fill'em using a pastry bag with a large holed nozzle. Makes short work of ABT's.

That's it!! Thats how i like to do mine also.
I'll try Google unless ya got a website.

I use a small metal measuring spoon of the correct size for the pepper.
The trick is to find the ultra cheap stamped metal spoons with the sharp edges!
Works wonderful.

Tater peeler for topped japs. A simple teaspoon for boats.
Used to use my thumbnail until I hit a batch of hot ones. Don't do that anymore.

learned the glove trick a long time ago, btw, just use a cheap sandwich bag and clip one end, works excellent I use some c cheese, some rub, and some little smokies thats been either diced up or grounded for the filling

GOOD EATS
