Smokey Treat BBQ - Lenexa BBQ Comp
Brethren,
My team and I are going to be competing in the Lenexa BBQ Competition in Kansas in a couple of weeks and I am looking for some experienced teams or members who can give some advise. We have competed in a couple of comps so far and while we think our BBQ is pretty darn good the judges don't seem to agree. If there are any teams out there that would allow us to ask some questions of possibly come by out tent and give us the run down on how they do things it would be greatly appreciated. Competition BBQ is different than restaurant and backyard BBQ. What helped me a bit was taking the certified judges class.
If possible, I'd recommend taking Burnt at Both Endz's offer to go on site and ask them questions and see their setup and such. |
