Looks like a great start.
Besides sanding & painting, what else do you have to do to it?
Is the cook chamber complete?
I would definetely tie the two A frames together to stiffen the undercarriage up.

I agree the firebox looks small and low for a RV pit.

It's because the box is not square. If you compare the box to the chamber it's approx 1/3 the size and is sufficient l.
