Default FINALLY tasted a competition rib...

I just got back from Smokin' Pork N' Butts County in Jackson, Ga. My first ever competiton that I have attended. I started talking to the guys on one of the teams (Husband and wife team called "Pit Stop BBQ") and he gave me about 3-4 ribs and some pulled pork that they entered...MY GOD, was that some good eats. The ribs were just right...not too much sauce and just the perfect combination of sweetness and spice. Sweet goin in and a little spicy in the back of the throat. I was in rib Heaven!

Got to watch a few teams do their demonstrations to the judges at their tables...got to hear how they did it and got to watch what they did. it was a cool experience to watch...to see those guys explain what they did and how they did it.

Now, Im FIRED UP about entering one as a backyard competitor. May just do Butts the first time and enter one meat...this was awesome, even if it WAS small and muddy and raining. It was still awesome.
