It's next door in Suffolk, but it's a family favorite when we're in town.
Rodman's Bar-B-Que It's no-frills. It's not a destination. It's not something I write home to Mom about... but it's good. More of an Eastern NC flare than otherwise.

Pierce's is probably the most iconic in the area. It's right off the highway near Williamsburg. County BBQ also is highly recommended by locals. I've had both, but it's been a few years.
