My 1st ever smoke...
This is my 1st attempt at using my wsm (just came Tuesday). Decided to keep it simple, and used the "basic bbq chicken" recipe found on virtualweberbullet.com though I must admit I bought the chicken cut up since I didn't have a lot of time. I know it's nothing fancy and I'm as green as one could be at bbq, but I am officially hooked and can't wait to try something else!

Looks like it turned out pretty good for a first time smoking. Once you get used to it (which shouldn't take long) you'll be looking for excuses to try all kinds of different things on that WSM.

Welcome and good job on the first bird! Do not worry about being green, just stick around and read and in no time at all you will be feeling pretty good about your color!

Nice start for sure!
What did you like about your finished product? What did you not like about your finished product? How about some times and temps for your cook? Got any questions we can help you with.

That's not fair!! You're not supposed to cook your first BBQ on a WSM. You're supposed to suffer on a lesser cooker, so that you know how lucky you are to have it.
Congrats, and enjoy.
