That's going to take a bit of restoration. I think it's SEVERELY overpriced! It should be a gift to someone who will take her and give her a good home, or offered for 50 bucks or less in my opinion.

Wow!!!!! it certainly seems overpriced to me. If it were sandblasted inside and out, had new grates, had new paint and was re-seasoned it would be a great cooker. Yep overpriced in my opinion.... way overpriced

It's not a bad pit but not for $1,500, judging by the quality, pretty well made with 1/4 inch construction I'd say that it was around $1,000 to $1,500 new. I'd try to talk the seller down to about $750 based on the description and picture. If you want to spend something around the asking price, you can get a brand new, nicer pit from Lone Star Grillz. Here's a link to the website and a Youtube video on the model I have in mind. I'm actually having one of these built for myself, only I'm upgrading the cabinet, the firebox and adding a warmer/oven. Anyway, have a look and see what you think!http://www.lonestargrillz.com/Vertical-Smokers.html

nobody is going to pay 1500$, low ball him and leave your number tell him when he gets serious about unloading it to give you a call.
