Just wanted to see if anyone had taken it or knew how good it is. The man's wins speak for themselves but i would like to hear input if anyone cares to share.

I've not taken his class but from what I've been told, if goal is to learn how to make good BBQ, his class may be a great time and learning experience...if your goal is to win contests take someone else's comp class.

Here's some related threads from other Brethren who had gone in the past you may find helpful. Depending on your skill level, you may be able to learn a lot or maybe just hear perspective and tips from him

I took his class in '05 and went on to win many contest over the next three years. I say it's well worth it. :thumb:

Thanks guys. Im pretty much trying to decide between taking this class or competing in what would be my first IBCA event.

Good stepping stone in getting started . A class was held here in NY a few years back . In the this pic from that class are 4 cooks that went on to win GC's one of which also recently lost a tie breaker to an RGC
