How much meat?
I am smoking some pork shoulder and brisket for about 62 people tomorrow. I called a local BBQ restaurant and asked what amount of cooked meat they recommend for a group that large and they said at least 17 lbs (Just over 1/4 lb of cooked meat per person). I have 20 lbs of boneless Boston Butts and ~24 lbs of brisket. Assuming 30% cooking loss with the pork and 50% cooking loss with the brisket I should have ~25 lbs of cooked meat (2/5 lb of cooked meat per person). There will be other sides etc there. I assume that this will be more than enough. Just want to get some experienced opinions on whether this quantity of meat will feed 62 people. Thanks in advance for the edification.

That will be more like 40-50% loss on the pork and if cooking packer briskets expect a 45% yield from the cryovac weight.
