I am planning a big cook tom. had 4 buts from the freezer thawing but went to pick up a few more. Got two more cryovac twin packs. Just got home and realized they are boneless. What difference does this make come time to smoke them?

I ran into the same thing awhile back. Bought some Butts from Costco and did not pay attention, they were boneless. Good thing, like Norcoredneck said more area for the rub, just flip open that flap and rub away.

I still prefer the bone-in, it just seem right when you just slide that bone out.

Like Bbq Bubba said, I think the Bone-less seemed to cook a little quicker, but not much.
