Default Smoked Apple Butter Pork Loin

Anyone tried coating a loin with apple butter (we make our own each fall in a 30 gallon copper kettle over an open fire) and smoking it?
Think I'm gonna give it a try.

Sounds like a fattie to me. On that note, smearing apple butter on a fattie sounds really good.

I would say be careful of the "molten" factor. Thought it sounds like the apple butter would make a very nice crust.

I have used apple butter on butts and ribs with good results.
I am sure the loin would work as well.

Don't think it gets hot enough smoking. It sure would grilling. We'll see.
Used to live up on the north edge of the Minneapolis metro, East Bethel. Worked for BNRR in beautiful downtown Fridley. Liked it up there.
