The judging slips will be changed as follows:
(yes this is small step, we want to make small changes to track what is having an effect)

2- Inedible
3-Bad
4- Poor
5- Below Average
6- Average
7-Above Average
8- Very Good
9-Excellent

Do not be concerned about average still exisiting. As I said this is a progresion not the final. Please work with us. We will keep you posted on the progress. I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to share their opinion and thoughts with us.

This is probably a dumb question, but if a judge is aware of the definitions that go with the numbers and they're judging a contest w/o the definitions are they suppose to consider them or not?

I've always considered 6 above average, but now am I suppose to change even if I'm not using the new cards?

Merl - the word "Inedible" sounds a bit harsh .. I think if you have a "Very Good" you need to have "Good" as well.

Also "poor" and "bad" as 2 and 3 are barely distinguishable by definition. They could have been reversed and most probably would not second guess it.

I would rather see

2: Very Bad
3:Bad
4:Fair
5:Average
6:Good
7:Very Good
8:Excellent
9: Superior
