I'm glad you liked it. I was worried I shouldn't have posted it due to some secret internet forum rule about linking to other threads, but you were the first one I thought about as I saw that thread. I would have not been able to sleep tonight worrying you missed that information. ;)

I watched that video too with great interest. I just wish large bags of 00 flour were readily available around here as they seem to perform best at typical wood fired oven temps.

Not sure what you guys who can find it locally are paying, but you can buy the flour through Amazon, 55lbs for just under $80 shipped.

Oh, thats not bad at all, ive never looked into Amazon for flour..

EDIT: I read a review about the Caputo flour and one individual found bugs and eggs in the flour, now who knows if the bugs got into the bad in Italy or in the USA. just something to think about.

If they're Italian bugs, you're ok.

I'm sure with the varied ethnic diversity in Los Angeles you can seek out an Italian grocery store like we have here in Little Italy, San Diego!
I just picked up 2Kg @ $3.99 per... I can "stretch" it to make 5 16" pizzas.
Pun intended
GLWT!

As an aside, if you go to Whole Foods or something similar, they sell pure Gluten in 10 oz boxes. I used to mix 2 Tbls into the flour to help make it more stretchy. Larger bags may be a problem.

Thanks Mike, the oven really would be a great thing to have, except for all the extra weight you will gain. I just wish i had more time to use it.
