Default Food sticking to grates

I use a WSM and noticed my briskets stick to the grate (unwrapped or wrap) and pull bark with fat cap off :'(. Or even some moist oily paper with it too.

Any tips on preventing that?

non-stick spray???

Try seasoning grates or spray but im guessing its not seasoned well. A little heat and oil should help resolve it.

This works real good and it's non-flammable.

Any time I have new grates I spray with Pam the first cook or two. No problems after that.

I have had this issue too, but figure it is due to the new WSM. Unfortunately, since the food sticks, I have to clean the grates. It'll work out eventually, just not going to put this cooks meat on last cooks residue...

This might not be an issue with the WSM, but be careful with PAM. It burns easily when I use it on my gasser. I might have to find the Weber version so I don't have to worry about that.

Spray it on the grate before you put it on the grill. No flare ups.

Maybe I misunderstand what you mean by burns easily...
