BBQ books
Just picked up a couple more BBQ books. Road Trip by Ray and Legends of Texas Barbecue by Robb Walsh. I like books that have a little history and life experience in them, they don't have to be recipes from front to back. I was just wondering what kinda books you guy's like.

I like history and experience in my books, with some recipes or ideas in them I can translate to recipes. I really do not spend my Q time trying every recipe ever printed by every author. Instead I rely on inspiration to make my BBQ better. For that reason I am not as interested in recipe tomes. However, recipe tomes can also provide inspiration. I have more fun reading good stories though.

Also Grand Barbecue and Searching for the Dixie BBQ are pretty good and along those same lines. http://www.amazon.com/Searching-Dixi...9827000&sr=8-1 http://www.amazon.com/Grand-Barbecue...9827041&sr=8-5 but the NC BBQ one is the best of the 3 IMO

Anchorman, I thought I was the only one who had ever heard of Uncle Billy's Downeast Barbecue. Did you ever get to eat in Jonathan's restaurant[Portland, Maine?] I am fond of all of Cris Schlinsher's{spelling} books too.

I recommend "Smokestack Lightning ...Adventures in the Heart of Barbecue Country" by Lolis Eric Elie. It is excellent.
