Howdy...

Had some friends over for Dinner - actually my friend, his wife and another buddy drove 150 miles up here just for some grilled food...

We had some irish dry aged striploins on the egg. Just seasoned heavy with kosher salt and let come to room temp, then onto the 650 F with some thyme sprigs and some olive wood.

After searing i let em cook to 125 on the other egg wich was cooking at 350 F with the plate setter.
Meanwhile i cooked the sides, naan bread, grilled romaine with parmesan and eggplant with roasted peppers, pancetta, mozarella and basil

After a meal like that, they might be driving 150 miles weekly. Great lookin' feast!

Looks like a great meal and that single barrel JD nice choice.

I would almost swim to Germany to eat Don Marco's cooking.

Very nice DM. I could almost taste those steaks with those great pics. Nice spread.

Looks awesome. Is that a cast iron grate? If so you should put this in the cast iron throwdown!

Thats the Big Green Egg cast Iron Grate, they are available for all sizes except the mini.

Never saw grilled lettuce before.

That grilled romaine is fantastic. Just cut it in half, baste with EVOO all over and put some salt on it. Then grill cut side until just wilting, flip over, top with grated parmesan and cook for an other 45-60 seconds.
