Default Order of Meat on WSM?

Is there an unofficial guide for what order meats should go on the two racks of a WSM? Does chicken go above beef? Beef above pork? Pork above chicken? Etc. How do you decide what goes where?

Also, does temp or using water impact this order at all?

Personally, I would not have chicken above and dripping on anything. Other than that, I don't think it really matters.

Don't have raw stuff dripping on things below if the things below come off first. That's my only rule. Doesn't both me what drips on what.

I'm doing a small pork butt and brisket and trying to see if there's a reason to do one on top vs the other.

Yes, I also go with what I need easy access to for removal. Brisket on the bottom grate since that may take in excess of 8 hours.

First off on top. Unless your into sashimi BBQ, contamination is not an issue.

Yup! I place items on top that come off first.

I don't let chicken drip on anything

Pork over beef if I can

Shorter cook time on top

Those are my rules
