So it was rainy and I was bored at the shop, so I burned a Tri Tip to take home for dinner. It was sorta an experiment as we've been getting used to the MAK grill. Here's a little pron to go with the cook.

I seasoned the meat with Blue Star and 3Eyz.

The smoke from the MAK and the 3Eyz gave the Tri Tip a nice red color.

Not quite the smoke ring I'm used to with other cooker styles, but it was tender and full of flavor.

Thanks for looking..

I have yet to experience a bad tri tip from any your cooks Tim, and this one looks to be just as delicious as all the others.

So we had a little talk about tri-tip.......and I'm not there to sample it???? I'd like to try out that Mak as well. Kind of intriguing. I'd sure eat that!

What temp did you cook at? That Mak doesn't like smoke at higher temps, right?

The MAK will get 500 or so maximum. I run tips at 325 or so depending on various unmentionable variables...;-)

Looks great Tim. You ought to drag that thing out to the sidewalk and use it as a honeypot to lure foot traffic in. I'll bet a lot of vehicle traffic would pull over and have a look too.

I'll bet you'd sell a lot of gear that way. I think that's what Fred's Music and BBQ does.
