Hey all - it has been a long time since I've posted - almost as long since I've had a chance to get some meat in the pit.
I took advantage of the long weekend and the fact that even my wife has been craving some of my pulled pork. If she says I have to feed the family tomorrow, and stock up on frozen pulled pork - who am I to say otherwise?!? :clap2:
Got a real late start - so didn't even get the butts rubbed last night (out late with family seeing Cinderella at a local playhouse).
So late AM I got the 2 bad boys out of the fridge - all 21 pounds worth...
Hot day here in north San Diego county - spent the mid-day trying to get temps down. It has cooled off and now I am trying to get them back up! :doh:
Got them rubbed up with something a little different this time - we shall see how it goes.
They are still on, bark forming up. Hope they are as good or better than usual!
More to come if it's not too dark. Looking forward to some nice sando tomorrow!
