Default Rib-eyes on the Smokey-Joe...

I did up some rib-eyes on the SJ & lump, some loaded up (bacon fat, onion, jalapeno and roasted yellow pepper) corn bread in the cast iron pan, asparagus and smashed sweet potatoes with sour cream and chives. Another entry for team noob.

Rib-eyes waitin' for the SJ.

Onions & jalapeno in, yes, BACON grease.

Charring up the pepper.
Ol' Duke waiting for something to fall.
Cast Iron cornbread.

Dinner is on!

Nice & rare!

I always get nervous when the meat costs more than the smoker, but it looks like you nailed those steaks.

I really like doing steak on the Smokey Joe. I load one side with lump so it's almost touching the cooking grate and fire away.
