Been gone for a few years, built my USD in '09, made a few more for friends and family, and been cookin' away. Found some other hobbies that sucked me into their related forums. (Home theater over at AVSforums)

But haven't stopped smoking. Bla bla bla, on to the Q pron.

#1.
Thick cut bacon - brow sugar, cayenne, and a bit-o- rib rub.

Smoked for about 15, flip and brush with maple syrup. Back on the UDS for another +/-15. Keep a close eye, gets dark fast with that much sugar.

Cool. Cut in 1/2.
Dip in melted Hersey's milk chocolate.
Crush a few Heather bars, and sprinkle a crumbles on top.

Drizzle with white chocolate. Into the freezer.

Incredible dessert!

Looks good! Try some with dark chocolate nest time!

Also, check out the link in my signature. A bunch oh Chicago area Brethren are getting together on July 19th. You can bring some of that and hang with us :thumb: :becky:

#2. (Disclaimer - phone pics with greasy hands.)

Make Filling for ABT. I went with cream cheese, shredded cheddar, mozzarella, crab meat, rib rub and seasoning.

Cut in 1/2, seed and clean jalapenos. Fill with filling.
Top with a bit of bacon.
No pics here, pretty basic ABT steps.

Onto the smoker for +/- 45 til you see the bacon firm up.
Into the freezer.

Wrap with a breakfast sausage - Jimmy Dean logs or whatever your favorite is. Roll it out onto plastic. Spray some Pam onto the roller to keep it from sticking, and the plastic makes it easy to roll up. Again, dust lightly with your favorite rub.

I'm enough a forum veteran to know I shouldn't have called it "Changing the Rules", there it rarely anything that is new on a busy forum. This was just new to me, but the smokey/sweet/savory/spicy/crunchy combo turned out incredible.
Should be a hit at the party later.

You can edit the title if you want, but it's no big deal!

That all looks great!

Nice mini-fatty-ABTs!!!

I was wondering what to call them - duh - M-F ABT's. Been gone from here too long. Did I mention how good the M-F Abt's tasted?! If yes, worth saying it twice anyway.

This was how I cooked them MF'n ABT's. Second level is a regular ABT.

Crap, didn't know about those. I've done a bunch of fatty's and ABT's over the years, just thought I'd combine them this time.

See, even when I come up something new in my head - it's been done here before.

Funny thing is - in the last 6 months I mainly eat a vegetarian diet. Juicing vegetables, salads and fruit. Occasional fish, almost no carbs, and very little meat.

I know, blasphemy. I have no moral problems with meat, still thing it's the best thing Q'd. just not a regular thing. Had high triglycerides and problems with inflammation. Plant based, raw and juiced diet had been life-changing since January for my health, energy levels, less fatigue, better sleep, less joint pain, blood work, even mood.

6' and went from 233 to 205. I will still maintain a mostly plant based diet after today, no carbs, light % meat diet - but today what better way to celebrate our nations birthday than in true American fashion - excess!

Woo! I think those are some of the best Abt's I've ever seen! I'll call the heart Dr. And ask if it's ok to look at those pics a little more!
