New grate for UDG, need some ideas

I got a new cast iron grate for my UDG and need some thoughts on how to hold it in place. It is 15" x 15.5". A 22.5" drum can take a 15.9" square in it (I think that is right) so this has a bit more room to move and fall off the eyebolts that I use for a weber grate. I cannot have anything to big or they have to be easily removable because I still need to be able to get the floor below the charcoal basket out to dump the ashes.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Easy Solution to Your Problem......
First, Place your 22" Grate on the Eye Bolts...
Second, Place your Cast Iron Grate upon the First Grate....:biggrin:

Connect the eye bolts with rods with a right angle bend at each end. When you've done so, you can support the grate at any point between the two and it won't slip, or at least it shouldn't!

Choose re-bar that you can fit two pieces into each eye bolt, job done.

Square within a circle, square offset on square.
