There are differences between the units at BPS and Olehickory.com. The units on the olehickory site run north of 300. I think 325.

Puffer = Guru? Is this a necessity or just nice to have? Which kind(s) do you like?

Yes, someone on here told me that OH sells more commercially while BP sells more to individuals. The commercial units can cook hotter, and are more expensive.

I'm sure the BP smokers are made specifially for them..,which is why they aren't on the Ole Hickory web site. This is why you were directed there.

My guess is they directed you to BPS because Big Poppa cooks on them in competition and has used all the “mailbox” designed Ole Hickory Pits and has towed them all over. We own a Ace BP Ole Hickory and when I was at the plant they said a lot of the electronic parts are available off the shelf. Which can be handy when you needs something right away and could pick it up local, when having it shipped isn’t a option.
