Anyone use this Polder
So I went and checked out Linens and Things, since they are going out of business, and found a couple things. Most of the stuff was just marked up and then taken down 20-30%, which was really right around the normal prices. I did find a Polder dual sensor digital thermometer for $12. The thing about this one is it is not like the maverick and have 2 probes, it only has 1. The top of the probe has a cylinder on it that I assume takes the oven temp and the point takes the meat temp. Has anyone used this one? I have it in a butt and it seems to work good. The smoker temp it says is 1 degree off from my other on and that could be from where they are placed. Here is what it looks like.

I have never used a remote thermometer but am looking for one. That looks pretty good, especially for the money.

I've often wondered about getting a Polder. They seem to be as durable as the Taylors or Mavs.

I have that one. I have only used it for one cook, but it worked well. The temp of the pit was off at first but after a little while it was dead on all night, I think it might have been too close to a cold butt. I am happy with it, I like the wired ones better than the wireless units, I have had less issues with them and I don't get that far away that I cant check on it every hour or so.
Only issue that I had with it was the alarms. I did not read the directions before throwing them out and did not figure out how to set the desired temps. So I just kept silencing it when it would go off. For $12 I would have picked up a few, My Linens and Things was sold out a couple of weeks ago.

I have that one too...I use it in my BGE and my gasser where I do not have to thread it through any grommets or doors. Works pretty good.

I have one. has worked like a 'hoss for me even though I read many more than one review saying they had lots of problems.
It has a big "knob" on the 1/8th inch connector, so you can't thread it through the small holes, but other than that its a groove.
