I like it Phubar, I think the computer table mod was sheer genius. One man's trash....
I burned the drum today. I couldn't waste the fire so I had my first meal on it. I know, burning paint and lining.... The weenie was still very good! It looks like most of the liner may have loosened. (hopeful thinking mod).

Thanx X.
Still very happy with that found, still needs some mods like a plank shelf.
I cooked my MOINKS! for a hour and a half or so,when the bacon looked nice n crispy I took them off.
But I've cooked MOINKS! only twice so I don't know if I'm correct with the cooking time.

My first attempt at a UDS

Here's my first UDS attempt. Will season it this weekend!

Installed 3 3/4" intakes at the bottom with 1 ball valve. Found a stainless steel chrome exhaust tip for $9.99 at Wal-mart.

Front view with Thermo/Beer holder basket

Other side of smoker

Secondary lid for 2nd rack when needed. Will pull the cap out of the 2" bung

2nd Lid and charcoal basket

Very nice work, almost looks too good to mess it up by cooking in it.

Great looking cooker. Should make plenty of "comfort" food.

FYI, Harbor Freight must really want us to build these right now. They have weed burners on sale for 14.99 and a 2 piece step drill bit set for 14.99.

So is the grinding and sanding just to get the leftover paint and whatever off? Sounds like after the burn you just wiped it out. What is all the talk of the wire brush and sanding?

Very nice indeed !! At least you got the team right. I used to work with a guy from Bellaire. He was a WVU fan.
Is Route 7 still a disaster??
