Tampa BBQ Ideas

I am off the first week in January for three days in Tampa, Florida. I will have one night where I can hit a local BBQ joint. I need a suggestion.

I will be staying in the area of Northdale Blvd and Dale Mabry Highway.

Common Florida Brothers help a guy out!

I would take a trip over to Auburndale and hit Peeble's. It is a classic.

Right near where you will be is a great little mom and pop Cuban restaurant named Hugos. It is on Armenia I think. Great ropa vieja!!!

I have never been there is a place i always see on dale mabry called fred flemings bbq, if not go with sonny's on dale mabry it's not bad not great they make a good sauce

Really? Your penchant for overstating the obvious is unheralded.

Larry's from California. He loves to drive. He can be in an Orlando location in under an hour (At least I can drive it in under an hour, in a POS rental)

I'm sure he can squeeze in a trip for World Famous Q'.

Uh! Thanks Bill for the endorsement. I'm not driving an hour for Tony's ribs. I have one their places a mile from my office and I won't go there.

Me thinks the the Cigar City was actually Ybor City, which is a section of Tampa.... Kinda like Four Points is to Tallahassee.....
