GAB Open Results - Congrats Brethren!!
I left before the awards ceremony. I was helping Big Creek BBQ for the Open.
Jeff just called me with the great news. Big Creek BBQ took 12th overall in the competition. Grand to Grillas and Reserve to Habitual Smokers. Jeff told me some great scores on individual categories for Brethren. Chicken - HODEDOs 1st Place - great job Andy! Ribs - MoKan Meatheads 1st Place - great job Singing BOB! Pork - Great Grills 3rd Place This is not a complete list as Jeff could not remember all the Brethren calls. Results should be up tomorrow on www.thinkbbq.com. What a great weekend for all Brethren and several spouses and children that got calls in other areas! Now I am very pissed that I did not stay to here everything!

I'm beat... just walked in the door. Stan forgot Team Q had a call in chicken (can't recall what place) and Chick n' Pig! Slammin Sammie the chicken phenom did it again! Took SECOND in chicken! Way to go Sammie and congrats to everyone! We had to dodge a lot of rain drops but it was worth it... lots of fun, lots of good food and drink and great friends! You all are awesome and I'm proud as hell to call y'all friends!
Thanks to Stan as well. Bro, we couldn't have done it without ya! Two contests you've been there and we finish well. Two you haven't, not so great. I see a pattern developing. Maybe you should bring along some Jack instead of Shiner next time!
