Default A Tale of Two Barrels

After starting work on my barrel (stinkin' red liner), I received an email about a clean drum with lid and lock for a mere $7.00. I know folks have posted both ways on this topic. Is it really that much worth it for an unlined barrel?

7 bucks for an unlined drum? If it's in good shape- Hello yeah!

I willingly paid $68 to get a new unlined barrel. Saved me a lot of effort and worry, I felt good about the purchase.

I'd get two for $14.00. After a while you'll find that you will want at least two for different cook times or just the volume of meat you want to serve.
