I've been looking into propane smokers, but most comments suggest they all seem to run hot - 220 d.f. is the lowest they'll go. Are there any out there which will maintain a temp in the 180-190 range?

thanks,

I started out with a Great Outdoors Smoky Mountain cooker. It has served me well and I still use on occasion. I do struggle with keeping temps under 200 though and still produce smoke. However, after getting an electric Masterbuilt, I've rarely used the gas powered smoker. Check them out. great for sausage and do a nice job on most everything else.
my 2 cents

I have no problem keeping mine below 200 by adding a few lit charcoal briquets to my smoke box along with my wood chunks.
