My gas grill is around 15 years old and still had the original caster wheels on it. Whenever I moved the grill, they would leave a black trail so they were in dire need of replacement. Today I did it and here are the results.
First is a picture of the original caster wheels.

This grill is very big and very heavy so I got my floor jack out to lift it. Problem was that it wouldn't fit under the grill so I had to place a log and use a 2 x 4 to lift it up far enough to slide the jack under it.

Here is the first caster off and if you look close you’ll see it has a crack it it.

The original caster wheels were on the small side (2”) so I got some heavy-duty 3 1/2” ones at Harbor Freight. (Big difference)

And here we are all done.

Nice!

These bigger wheels will let me move this thing around much easier. (Especially over the patio’s expansion joints)
