Costco outdoor fireplace & BBQ?
Just saw this in the Costco email flyer. http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...v=&browse=&s=1
looks to be more of a fireplace than a BBQ. Unfortunatly they don't explain how the BBQ part of it works. I assume it doesn't. Or at least it was only an after thought. They probably don't even have a clue. I'm still curious how it fucntions as a BBQ.

Whoever wrote that copy probably meant BBQ as in "cooking outside" rather than as real BBQ. The product description says there is a three position adjustable grill. I suppose they mean for you to put the grill over the fire and incinerate a steak or two

My bride's chimanea has a grill that pivots over the fire. It's sitting by the fence right next to the skd rib racks.

Actually the link provided has some pictures showing how the grill works. You could grill some food after the fire burns down to coals, but slow cooking que I think not.

The things people will spend money for. My son and I went out and collected a pile of larger river rocks and built our own fire pit. Cost us a few gallons of gas and a workout. As for cooking on that thing, I doubt if many of them will ever be use for that. Why would you use it when you probably have a gas or charcoal grill that is much more functional for that type of cooking? Marshmellow roasting mabey.
