Default ribs and marinade

Just a quick one here. Has anyone ever used a rib marinade for home or competition. How did you like it? What would be a basic one to try - you can PM me if you want.

At a friends who did it, and the flavor was a little off for me, but the meat was juicy. Just wandering.

I've messed around with it, without much success.. but I think it's worth sticking to, to try to come up with something, but I haven't yet.

Last competition we did, the MBN party team next to us marinaded their ribs. I thought they came out very good to eat, but didn't belong in a KCBS competition.

Mind you, this works for me and goes with my rub... I marinade them overnight in a mixture of water, apple juice, and worchestershire sauce. Ice...

My competition daze are probably behind me now; I pretty much cook for family, friends, and frankly the peace and solitude I get from smokin' on an offset...
