Slacking out Frozen Cooked Butt
If I freeze a whole cooked butt can I thaw it out in a fridge before trying to re-heat or does it need to go straight from the freezer to the cooker?

Well, I'd thaw it first.

Thaw first. I would pull it before it goes in the freezer, it will be a lot easier to heat up.

Pull, vacu-suck, freeze. Remove from freezer, put bag in boiling water. Eat.

Pull it first, put it in a covered half size foil hotel pan, cool down and freeze it. Thaw and reheat to correct safeserve temp, add apple juice or bbq sauce if needed to prevent drying out.

^^^^^ this is how I do it for people here that want it to eat over time. Works well. Just make sure you cool it before the vacu-suck process.

Putting a whole butt back in the freezer after cooking would also worry me as it would take a long time for the whole butt to reach safe temperatures on it's way to freezing. Definitely pull and cool before freezing.
