Pear is awesome, i cut down a tree last year and love to mix it with some olive wood in the egg. Great for Pork and Chicken.

I was lucky enough to get some from a very good friend, but alas I only have a very small amount left. I only use it on special cooks and only a tiny bit at a time to help stretch it out.

Anybody know where to get it or willing to part with some? I know Fruita carries it but that's kind of $$

I'm going to cut down a 20' pear tree this weekend. They said if I cut it down I can have it free. It has a nice 12" diameter trunk. Next spring I will have a lot of good pear wood to use.

Pear is great...

Any efforts you have to incur to get it for free as you stated will greatly reward you.
