I think it is a good idea. I'd like to try them at least. I used to buy hickory salt 30-35 years ago that I really liked and then it disappeared from the shelves. Do not recall the brand name, but figure it one of the standards of the big salt companies.

So, I've been playing around with both of these, and honestly, I'm really underwhelmed. There just isn't nearly enough flavor contribution to make me comfortable putting the Oakridge BBQ name on it.

Although I can't offer advice I'd like to offer feedback. I cooked some pork chops yesterday (they were quality butcher type chops) I used Game Changer Brine followed up with Secret Weapon for my bride ... I asked how the food was the next day and she complained she only had one... First time in 15 years she liked chops!!! I thanks you for the excellent rubs and brine... Don't get me started on the Carne Crosta and the Blackstone!! Great job my friend!!
