So I added a 1981 two tone Brown Weber Kettle to my collection followed by a 1 year old Weber Rotisserie the next day. $35.00 for each. I have been wanting to buy a ROT from Cajun Bandit. However, I could not pass up a $35.00 Weber ROT.

Here's the Brownie before any cleanup:

The handles were dried out and faded from the Colorado sun and low humidity. There was only a dime size chip on the bowl. The was some tar on the lid which was easily removed with a blade and goo gone.

I cleanup it with windex and 0000 steel wool. Also, refinished the wood handles. One handle had the old Weber logo: Weber The One the Only

I added the new rotisserie to the vintage Weber:

Nice save!! Turned out to be pretty cool looking.
A welcome addition to the family!:thumb:

Beautiful!! $70 VERY well spent! I love you guys who keep the old stuff to be appreciated for us who have never seen it before. Like classic car collectors. Thanks.

Looks, awesome... Great score. My Parents had that same color Weber, bought in 1977. Used it regularly until about 1992 then left it with the house when they moved. I'd wish I'd known how hard it would be to find one now, when I want one just like it.
